Utilities

In the event of an emergency, please call 9-1-1.

To reach Public Works outside of normal business hours, please call at (575) 650-8830.

The Town of Mesilla handles water, trash and sewer in most places.

Gas service is handled through Zia Natural Gas, and electricity through El Paso Electric.

Deposits are required, and services will not be turned on until a deposit is made.

For New Services We Require:

  • A lease, signed by both parties or proof of ownership of the property

    We can only sign up persons listed as having permission to reside at the property Every lease must have the service address (and apartment/space number), landlord’s name, and a lease start date ​

  • A government issued photo identification card or photo copy

    Driver’s license; or a state issued photo id card; or a united states military identification card

Note: Any outstanding balance for anyone that is listed on the above documentation must be paid in full.

All trash and recycling is handled through Southwest Disposal.

Trash Pickup Days:

All Mesilla Accounts – Mondays
(Please put your bins out Sunday night.)

Recycling Pickup Days: Every Other Friday
