PLANNING AND ZONING HISTORICAL APPROPRIATNESS COMMISSION (PZHAC)
As per our municipal code 18.06.020, PZHAC commissioners are appointed for one- or two-year terms. The physical term for the year ends on December 31, 2024. There will be 3 positions available on the Planning and Zoning Historical Appropriateness Commission (PZHAC) at the start of the year, January 1, 2025.Any commissioners wishing to continue to serve in the PZHAC also need to submit a letter of interest stating wishing to continue to have a position in PZHAC. Any eligible resident of the Town of Mesilla that would like to participate in serving our community is encouraged to apply. Eligibility are as follows:
•Must be a resident of the Town of Mesilla at least 6 months.
•Must be 18 years or older.
•Must commit and be available to attend all PZHAC scheduled meetings, workshops and training events.
•Passion to serve our community.
•Expected to read and understand zoning ordinances.
Description of PZHAC duties and responsibilities can be found in chapter 18.06 of our municipal code. Please submit letter of interest along with any experience or qualifications to the community development coordinator via mail, email or drop off at front desk by Dec 20, 2024.
